Use a simple plumb line and tape measure to calculate poke or inset. Steps:
- Tape a string to the fender and hang it straight down.
- Measure from the string to the wheel lip → this is your poke gap.
- If the wheel sits 18 mm inside the guard, new wheel must move out +18 mm.
- Each 1 mm offset change = 1 mm movement.
- ET New = ET Old − movement (if moving outward).
